As a Great Clips franchisee, you will have the support of the Great Clips corporate staff, every step of the way. Not just in the beginning when everything is shiny and new but though every stage of your business—when you may need a hand to pull you up or to pat you on the back. What does that look like?

    DURING THE EVALUATION PROCESS - We’re here to answer your questions—and calm your nerves—so you can decide if this is the business opportunity that’s a fit for you!

    ONCE THE PAPERS ARE SIGNED - you’ll start your training & education with operations, and you’ll work with a Great Clips Real Estate Manager who will help you establish a quality site by partnering with developers and landlords in your market.

    WHEN YOUR SITE IS SECURED - our Facilities and Purchasing Department will assist you in ordering all the equipment necessary, and walk with you every step of the way as your Great Clips salon comes to life!

    GREAT CLIPS UNIVERSITY (online) – Nearly all our training is online and virtual through our Great Clips University (GCU) digital platform! These courses will help you in every phase of the business- whether it is learning the basics, such as real estate, marketing and salon operations or learning new technology and processes in the future.

    IN PERSON - the only in-person training outside of your market is a 3-day new franchisee training hosted with the Great Clips corporate team here in Minneapolis. The rest of your training, and the training for your teams, is online and virtual! That said, there are still plenty of opportunities to meet people and get “hands-on experience”* with the brand.


*Hands-on experience doesn’t mean that you’re cutting hair.  You can certainly give it your best shot when you attend stylist training, but we’d prefer you keep your in-salon “hands-on experience” to things like checking customers in, or sweeping hair.
