Great Clips' driver, Jason Leffler, gets rear-ended in our latest commercial

On the high-speed ovals of NASCAR racing, drivers will do most anything to hold a line, protect a lead, or sling past a car ahead. And it's not uncommon for a driver to tap a teammate's rear bumper in a daring move to push him across the finish line and into the winner's circle.

It's that bold, risk-taking technique that drove the creation of our newest TV commercial and brought together Great Clips' drivers and #38 car teammates, Jason Leffler and Kasey Kahne. But, it's our Great Clips' stylists, who in a surprise ending, steal the spotlight from two of NASCAR's more popular drivers.

The :30-second spot was shot in the St. Paul, Minnesota, train station on January 21 and 22. Yes, actual Great Clips' stylists were used in the production, and I understand that because of their enthusiastic participation several takes were required to lend realism to the sort of action you expect to see in NASCAR racing.

The commercial will air nationally starting in April on the FOX network as part of our Fire Me Up in-salon promotion. The spot will also appear on Fox.com and the NFL Network. [Buckle up and click here to preview our new Great Clips' commercial]

And that's a wrap.
