New Franchisee Orientation and Training
Training
Training begins with New Franchisee Orientation and Training. This five-day session is the perfect environment to be educated in all aspects of the Great Clips operating systems. Our commitment is to make training easy and more effective for franchisees. Today, all professional stylist and employee training is provided through our field staff at our many area training centers, which makes this on-going resource convenient and effective.
As you will see, our franchisee, salon manager and stylist training is the most comprehensive in the industry.
Staffing
Capitalize on our extensive recruitment strategies through our powerful relationships with area cosmetology schools. This will increase your ability to recruit highly qualified stylists. Through these relationships, we are able to attract the interest of many new stylists. Beyond these efforts, we also offer a full range of custom recruiting tools including the lists of licensed cosmetologists in every state*. These lists can be one of the most effective ways to recruit stylists.
Marketing
Core customer research is very important to us, which is why Great Clips has invested over one million dollars to help identify what our customers want and expect when they enter our salons. From radio and television to NASCAR sponsorship to cross promotions with other leading brands, Great Clips continues to work hard to establish our brand in the mind of the consumer.

Real Estate and Facilities Design
Once you join Great Clips, our assistance in securing a quality site begins immediately. First, we will assign a dedicated Real Estate Manager to work along with outside real estate developers and brokers to assist you. These key relationships have been nurtured to assist our franchisees in reviewing sites based upon a number of experience-based criteria (2,600 salons secured and growing) including visibility, demographics and salon size. In some cases, we may even have great sites that are ready to be evaluated as soon as you become a franchisee. It's our goal to help you find a quality site.
Once you have secured the site for your salon, our Facilities Department will team up with you to manage your expenses through our pre-negotiated pricing for almost every component necessary to open your salon(s).
Software
As you implement the strategy of owning 1, 2 or more salons, our proprietary computer software (Styleware Touch™) gives you the edge on cash and inventory management, employee productivity, scheduling and much, much more.
