Great Needs. Great Deeds.^®

Great Clips has made a point to continuously strengthen its relationship within communities. This ongoing goal has taken the form of its own, dedicated program, Great Needs. Great Deeds.®. This special Great Clips program assists many organizational efforts, on both a local and national scale. It raised more than half a million dollars in 2008 for numerous causes and is proud to support local communities.

Children's Miracle Network

Each year, Great Clips salons are invited to sell paper miracle balloons during Great Needs. Great Deeds.® month in October. Last year, 375 salons raised more than $102,000 for the network of 170 premier children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.

Locks of Love

Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada. Eligible recipients are those suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Our salons across North America are avid contributors to this very worthy cause.

Cut-a-thons

From time to time, many Great Clips salons host cut-a-thons. Great Clips will contribute a portion of the proceeds from haircuts, perms and outside donations to selected causes, including: the Colin Powell Youth Leadership Center/Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, Children’s Hospitals, Ronald McDonald House, Stand Down for Vets, and Salons Against Domestic Abuse which funds the "Cut it Out!" program.
